Snapshots

The register exports itself, so it does not depend on this installation surviving.

A snapshot is a zip of readable files — one Markdown file per doléance — that anyone can open, read and rehost. In 2019 the French cahiers were sealed for fifty years while the online contributions were published and then left behind a server error. A register that exists in only one place is one budget line from being unreadable.

Restoring replaces what the package covers. A contributions package replaces the register only and leaves groups, actions and participants alone; a full package replaces those too. This cannot be undone — take a snapshot first.
